Nap's Thriftway Deli Day!!

Our numerous lunch options.

Bathtub soup? No thank you.

Kristin's lunch. $5.15. Veggie tray, Turkey, Havarti cheese.

Valerie's lunch. $5.35. Bread roll, Havarti cheese, Pastrami slices, banana, mocha.

This sweet guy was buying a card, and he just kept quietly reading and smiling. It was a beautiful moment happening inches from Kristin. He walked away still smiling and holding "the perfect card."

We opted not to play KENO.. but mostly because we didn't know how. heehee

Nara Teriyaki! Getting our protein fix.

In spite of it's meager curb appeal, Nara is always bustling with locals.

This picture is so deceiving - we both chose water. Choose water people - it's good for you.

The latest magazines make waiting bearable.
Plus, condiments galore to trick out your Bento.

Fun with chopsticks.

Kristin's lunch. 5.50 total.

Valerie's lunch, sans salad(!). 5.50 total.

We dutifully cleared our own dishware.

Today - we get ICE CREAM for dessert. Who cares if it's February and raining.. seriously!

Juke Box played our nine selections. Johny Cash and Elvis kicked them off.

Decor is super fab! Very 50's diner. Complete with Betty Boop.

Yes, we did order the Avocado Bacon Burger. oh snap.

Total for each: 7.25. Included Burger and small (rocky road) Ice cream on a sugar cone. Our verdict of Jem 100 is: We love!!!!

Quick Stop Market. AKA Adventure Lunch

"If it has a deli, you must eat there." The guidelines of Project Tuesday become clearer as the weeks progress, and well, there WAS a deli.

Juxtaposition.

Cardboard cutouts selling goods, I think. (we want her photo shopped abs - but that's ALL - is that wrong?)

Also, in case you need any, they sell Canadian (he pointed out) greeting cards. We purchased; because how could we not??

We left hungry. Opting to pass after one bite of the corndogs.

Typical - rainy day

Splitsies on the Spicy Italian. 5 bucks.
Two sodas and two chips - also 5 bucks.
It was a win win day.
